Polymaster... Quality is our Priority

In December 2008, Polymaster received Product Certification on all of our Rainwater Tanks from an independent testing authority. State and Federal Governments are now insisting on rainwater tanks to be certified to this Australian Standard AS/NZS 4766:2006 to be eligible to claim for water rebates.

Product Certification by an independent testing authority is your best guarantee of a quality long lasting product. This certification means that your tank has been through many strict tests before it is despatched to ensure it is of highest quality.

An important feature of all Polymaster Rainwater Tanks is the ONE PIECE CONSTRUCTION. Roof and walls are moulded as one piece. At no stage is the roof cut off and screwed back on.

Harvesting Rainwater and Choosing Your Tank Size

There are a few points to consider when choosing your rainwater tank. While you can never have a rainwater tank that is too big, you can certainly have one that is too small, in which case you will find yourself running out of water more often than not.

Step (a) Calculate your yearly water usage from the Water Consumption Table.

Step (b) Using the equation below estimate the amount of rainfall you will collect off your house/shed.

Step (c) Depending on how you intend using the water or whether your house relies solely on rainwater, make sure you can harvest most of the rainfall falling on the roof in the wet season.

Step (d) Finally look at the area available for tank/s and make sure you have enough room.

Daily average water usage per household (house only)

2 people - 360 litres per day

4 people - 650 litres per day
