How do industrial water storage tanks differ from rainwater tanks?
Rainwater tanks are designed for clean water at SG 1.0 and residential or rural use. Industrial water storage tanks are engineered to handle higher specific gravities, harsher site conditions, and process or chemical applications. The polyethylene formulation, wall thickness, and fittings are specified for industrial duty, and every tank is certified to AS/NZS 4766:2006, the Australian Standard for polyethylene tanks storing water and chemicals.
