B) Then 10 days before delivery I received a positive call from a polite young lady who ran through the complete scope of the order. To say I was appreciative was an understatement. C) Then a day before delivery I received a polite phone call from a truck driver who introduced himself as your driver and ran through the logistics / offloading etc. Said he couldn’t give me an exact time but would ring me in morning to advise exact ETA. What is a water cartage tank?

A water cartage tank is a portable polyethylene tank designed for transporting water on a ute, truck, or trailer. Polymaster water cartage tanks are built from food-grade, UV-stabilised polyethylene. The range covers 600L, 800L, 1,200L, 2,000L, and 3,000L capacities, from single-cab utes to dedicated water-haulage trucks.

What size water cartage tank do I need?

Tank size depends on the vehicle's payload, the distance you're carting water, and how often you're refilling. As a guide, 600L and 800L water cartage tanks suit utes and small trailers, 1,200L and 2,000L suit dual-cab utes and larger trailers, and 3,000L water cartage tanks are intended for trucks with sufficient GVM. Always check the vehicle payload and registered carrying capacity before fitting a larger tank.

Can Polymaster water cartage tanks store drinking water?

Yes. All Polymaster water cartage tanks are manufactured from food-grade polyethylene certified to AS/NZS 4020, the Australian Standard for products in contact with drinking water. They're suitable for potable water transport, tree watering, dust suppression, washdown, and fire-fighting applications.

How do I secure a water cartage tank to my vehicle?

Polymaster water cartage tanks are fitted with moulded tie-down points to secure the tank to a ute tray, trailer, or truck deck using ratchet straps. Skid-mounted packages include a steel frame with forklift access points and lifting lugs so the unit can be loaded, unloaded, and repositioned without removing the tank from the frame.

What’s the difference between a water cartage tank and a skid-mounted package?

A water cartage tank is the tank only, ready to mount to your vehicle. A skid-mounted package adds a steel frame, a 6.5HP Honda fire pump (recoil or electric start), suction and discharge hoses, fittings, and a hose reel, supplied as a complete pump-and-tank unit ready for fire-fighting, water transfer, or paddock spraying.
