Interest is high for safety reasons as w do not need to connect and disconnect pumps when changing over IBC’s, and if they fully drain the connection hose no spillage her either. Also, the IBC tank can be completely drained which as polymer is $5-10 dollars a litre, it can add up to a fair bit of money.

Around the world, especially throughout Europe, Polyethylene Tanks dominate steel when it comes to storing 10,000 litres or less of diesel. However, Australia lags behind in its take-up. This is rapidly changing due to some significant and key advantages a poly tank has over steel, especially within the Australian environment.
At Polymaster, the development of polymer suitability starts in the laboratory and filters into our mixing, extruding, grinding processes through to material analysis, PIAT (Peak Internal Air Temperature) and AS4766:2006 certification.
Cone bottom tanks provide the ultimate solution for applications that require complete drainage and are a necessity for efficient processing of some liquids. Using a cone bottom tank for some applications can save money and time when compared to a flat bottom tank.
Polymaster’s primary focus within food and beverage is assisting in the design and supply of tanks, chemical dosing and installation services. The revamped standard, AS 1940:2017, came into force early August 2017 and sets out specifications for flame retardant qualities of polyethylene tanks holding up to 10,000L which can now be used to store diesel.
