AdBlue® or otherwise known as DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) was developed to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen from diesel engine exhaust. 

Why should i invest in storage vessels built specifically for AdBlue?

AdBlue® is a highly purified colourless liquid containing demineralized water and urea (32.5%). It is a corrosive substance that can dissolve materials that are not listed as AdBlue® proof in ISO 22241. This makes it a challenging substance to store, as it tends to find any small pinhole to leak from and crystallizes when exposed to the atmosphere.  Therefore, is it important to invest in storage vessels that are built to an exacting standard.

Due to the affect on the liquid’s performance, AdBlue® storage must protect its contents from:

• extreme heat
• cold temperatures
