What Our Clients Say
I am proud to supply this feedback as it has been a long time since I was treated so amazingly well as a customer until I dealt with Polymaster. A) received excellent Pre Sales & Service from your dealer, Martha at Electel. B) Then 10 days before delivery I received a positive call from a polite young lady who ran through the complete scope of the order. To say I was appreciative was an understatement. Wished more companies had your service commitment / DNA. C) Then a day before delivery I received a polite phone call from a truck driver who introduced himself as your driver and ran through the logistics / offloading etc. Said he couldn’t give me an exact time but would ring me in morning to advise exact ETA. I have never met a truck driver who was so organised. All of the above culminated in to me being blown away with Polymaster’s outstanding customer service. Thank you very much and please pass my feedback onto your Mgr Director. It was a pleasure to deal with a company who is so transparent and organised, congrats.
From entering details online and then talking with Tony Columbro to ensure I had details correct to then the text messages when the tank was ready. Then notified it was loaded and on its way to its new home. The whole process was professional and super smooth. Love the tank.

Great customer service especially Rachel. Also the driver was extremely helpful and professional in his handling of his job. Tank arrived on time as promised. The only little thing is that the tank was not put on position but close for us to push it the the foundation. Definitely we will order our next tank from them. Just recommended my friend to buy from Polymaster.

Sewer Pump Station FAQs
Do sewage pump stations need regular maintenance?
Yes. Sewer pump stations and stormwater pump stations require regular maintenance to prevent blockages, keep pumps operating efficiently, and extend equipment lifespan. Typical servicing includes checking float switches, removing solids buildup, testing the alarm, and inspecting internal valves and fittings.
Our sewage pump stations are designed to handle both black water and stormwater with minimal maintenance, ensuring long-term reliability and compliance for every installation.
Does a sewage pump station smell?
A correctly installed and maintained pump station should not smell. Odours usually indicate a blockage, poor ventilation, or stagnant wastewater. When pumps operate correctly and the chamber is sealed and vented properly, odours remain contained.
How does a sewage pump station work?
A sewage pump station works by collecting wastewater in a chamber and automatically pumping it to a higher point when gravity can’t move it on its own. Once the liquid level rises to a set point, the pump activates and pushes the wastewater through a pressurised discharge line until gravity flow can resume.
What are the requirements for installing a pump station?
A pump station must be installed on a stable, level base with compliant inlet and discharge pipework, safe access for maintenance, proper ventilation, and licensed electrical connection for the pump and alarm system.
Polymaster stations simplify installation because the chambers are lightweight, self-anchoring (no concrete required), and pre-assembled with valves, fittings, a brass discharge outlet, and a high-level alarm. Qualified installers only need to connect plumbing and power, set inlet heights, and ensure local regulations are met.
What happens if a pump station fails?
If a pump station fails, wastewater can’t be discharged. In sewer pump stations, failure can lead to wastewater backing up. In stormwater pump stations, it may cause pooling or localised flooding. Prolonged stagnation can also cause odours or environmental risks.
What is the lifespan of a sewage pump station?
The lifespan of a sewage pump station chamber can last for decades due to its corrosion-resistant construction, while the pump itself typically lasts 7–10+ years, depending on load, wastewater type, and maintenance frequency. With regular servicing and correct installation, both the pump and chamber lifespans can be extended.
What is the purpose of a sewage pump?
Sewer pump stations and grey water pump stations are designed to move wastewater, sewage, or greywater from low-lying areas to the main sewer or treatment system when gravity fall isn’t available. It prevents backups, allows flexible site design, and ensures wastewater is safely transferred without manual intervention.
What materials are Polymaster pump stations made from?
Polymaster pump stations are made from tough, rotationally moulded polyethylene that is corrosion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and compliant with AS/NZS 1546.1. This material choice gives the chambers strength, durability, and long-term resistance to harsh wastewater environments. Internal components include brass fittings, PVC unions, swing check valves, and high-grade pumps, depending on the configuration.
What size pump station do I need?
For commercial and industrial sites, pump station size depends on inflow volume, peak demand, solids handling requirements, and the distance and height the wastewater must be pumped. Factors such as trade waste load, process water discharge, the number of connected fixtures, and emergency storage requirements also influence chamber size.
Polymaster provides three capacities - 700L, 1000L, and 1300L - each with multiple inlet positions and pre-plumbed internals, making it easier to match the correct size to varying commercial loads. Most projects determine the right size through hydraulic calculations or by consulting a pump station designer.
