Save on Water Tanks with South Australia’s Drought Infrastructure Rebates

At Polymaster, we’re proud to support Australian farmers with high-quality, Australian-made poly tanks designed for resilience and water conservation. Thanks to the South Australian Government’s On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Rebate Scheme, it’s now easier for eligible farmers to invest in essential water infrastructure and boost drought preparedness.

Drought Assistance for South Australian Primary Producers

Grants of up to $20,000* are now available to help South Australian farmers improve their on-farm water management systems.

The Government of South Australia, through the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA), has expanded its drought support measures, providing rebates to assist with the cost of new on-farm infrastructure. Under the On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Rebate Scheme, primary producers can access up to 50% of eligible costs – to a maximum rebate of $20,000 – for projects such as installing new rainwater tanks, upgrading water storage, and enhancing irrigation systems.

Key Features of the Scheme:

  • Rebates have increased from $5,000 to up to $20,000.
  • Eligible activities include the purchase and installation of water infrastructure like tanks, troughs, and pipelines.
  • Applications are now processed much faster – typically within 30 business days.
  • A 50% co-contribution from the farmer is required.
  • Farmers who previously received a $5,000 rebate can apply again for different infrastructure upgrades.
  • The scheme is funded under the broader Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.

This program is designed to enhance drought resilience by helping farmers capture, store, and efficiently manage their water supplies year-round.

Polymaster’s robust water tanks are built for tough Australian conditions, ensuring you get the best return on your infrastructure investment. Whether you’re upgrading an old system or setting up new water storage, our expert team is here to help you maximise your rebate opportunity.
