What Does Polymaster Offer for Chemical Dosing?
Chemical dosing is the precise, controlled introduction of chemicals into a water or process system to achieve specific treatment outcomes — whether that is disinfection, pH correction, corrosion inhibition, or coagulation. Polymaster supplies the full range of chemical dosing equipment, from compact bunded drums and enclosed cabinets through to pre-engineered dosing skids and complete dosing systems. All equipment is designed for safe handling of aggressive chemicals and built from UV-stabilised polyethylene for long-term durability on site.
PRE-ENGINEERED DOSING SKIDS
We Understand Chemical Dosing Tank Requirements
Chemical storage solutions are usually all about compliance, standards, regulations and OHS issues due to the risk associated with storing volumes of chemical. A PE chemical tank is an important technical decision, and choosing the right company to work with is extremely critical.
When evaluating a chemical storage supplier, ensure they are:
- Certified to AS4766:2006 Polyethylene Storage Tanks for Water and Chemicals
- Knowledgeable about the technical requirements for chemical storage
- Resourced with specialist engineers experienced in PE materials
Carefully invest in a chemical storage option that is fit for purpose, has the right design life, and includes an efficient maintenance schedule.
WORKING WITH POLYMASTER
Engineered around your site.
Every interface in a dosing system is a potential failure point. Our engineers stay across the project from chemical review to handover, so you’re dealing with one team and one set of documentation.
Chemical and site review
Send us the Safety Data Sheet and site constraints. Our team confirms compatibility, pressure and footprint before anything gets built.

PRE-ENGINEERED DOSING SKIDS
Pre-Engineered Chemical Dosing Systems and Skids
The Polymaster Dosing Skid range is an ideal starting point when considering a dosing solution. Engineered and manufactured to the highest level – including +GF+ pipework and valves designed for the Grundfos DDA range of dosing pumps (AR and FCM models) – these systems are designed around either a Duty or Duty/Standby configuration, operating from 7.5LPH @ 16Bar to 200LPH @ 4Bar and everything in between.
The piping layout (15mm or 20mm) gives operators free access to all components for adjustments, calibrations, and clear visual inspections. All dosing pipework is designed to be installed with the Polymaster Double Door Dosing Cabinet and Enclosed IBC Bund.
Pre-engineered solutions cover most applications. With optional additions – carrier water systems, flow meters, pulsation dampeners – the Polymaster Dosing Skid meets even the most demanding requirements. CHEMICAL DOSING GUIDE
Chemical Dosing: Ensuring Optimal Water Treatment
Author: Trent Steele
Chemical dosing is a critical process in water treatment that involves the precise addition of chemicals to water systems to achieve desired water quality and safety standards. Polymaster supplies the full range of chemical dosing equipment – from compact chemical dosing tanks and bunded units through to pre-engineered dosing skids, pipework kits and automated chemical dosing systems for water treatment. This process is essential in various applications, including industrial, municipal, and agricultural settings.
Importance of Chemical Dosing
- Water Quality Control – Proper chemical dosing helps maintain pH levels, disinfect water, and remove impurities, ensuring water is safe for consumption and use.
- Efficiency in Operations – Automated chemical dosing pumps enhance operational efficiency by providing accurate and consistent dosing, reducing the risk of human error.
- Cost-Effectiveness – By optimising chemical usage, businesses can lower operational costs while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.
Types of Chemicals Used in Dosing
- Coagulants – Help in the aggregation of particles in water, making it easier to remove impurities.
- Disinfectants – Essential for killing harmful microorganisms; chlorine and ozone are commonly used in water treatment.
- pH Adjusters – Chemicals such as sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide are used to adjust pH levels within the desired range.
Choosing the Right Dosing System
Selecting the appropriate chemical dosing unit is crucial for effective water treatment. Factors to consider include:
- Flow Rate – The system must be capable of handling the specific flow rate of the water being treated.
- Chemical Compatibility – Ensure materials used in the dosing system are compatible with the chemicals being dosed.
- Automation Features – Advanced systems offer real-time monitoring and adjustment capabilities.
