A stock watering tank and trough gives your property a permanent, self-regulating water point for livestock, rather than relying on manual filling.
The Tank
The tank holds your water reserve. The 4500L Stock Watering Tank includes a 25mm tank inlet, a 25mm float valve, an inspection cover, and can be filled from your existing water source or connected into a pipeline system.
The Trough
Water gravity feeds from the tank into the trough. The trough has its own 25mm float valve mounted in the bottom of the wall, which automatically maintains the water level as stock drink, along with a 75mm drain cap for cleaning and maintenance.
The Float Cover
The float cover fits over the valve to protect it from damage caused by stock.

How do I keep water in the trough from going stagnant?
Turnover is what keeps trough water fresh. A trough sized to the mob drinking from it empties and refills regularly, so the water is replaced by use rather than sitting. An oversized trough for a small mob is the most common cause of stagnation.
Beyond that, flush the trough out periodically rather than topping it up indefinitely. Polymaster troughs have drain caps so you can empty and rinse without tipping or lifting. Positioning matters too, since a trough in constant sun warms the water and speeds up algae growth.
What is the warranty and expected lifespan of a Polymaster stock watering tank?
A stock watering tank trough carries two warranty periods, because it’s two products working together. The tank carries a 20-year pro-rata warranty. The trough component carries a 1-year warranty.
