Depot Series - Simple, Reliable Fleet Dispensing
Terminal Series - Managed Dispensing with User Accountability
The Terminal series adds the 120-user fuel management system to the Depot configuration. Individual users require a key to activate the pump; the system logs each dispensing transaction against the user, giving you a complete, auditable record of AdBlue® consumption across your fleet. An 8-metre retractable hose reel replaces the 5-metre hose.
Ideal for: larger transport fleets, mining operations, council depots, and any site where AdBlue® consumption needs to be tracked by vehicle or operator. Suited to multi-user environments where accountability and waste prevention are a priority.
Submersible Series - Storage for Remote Bowser Connection
The Submersible series replaces the external Piusi pump with a Calpeda submersible pump (standard) or Franklin submersible pump (option) mounted inside the tank. The discharge terminates within the cabinet at a 25mm (1-inch) outlet, which connects to a remote bowser or dispensing point. This configuration is specifically suited to service stations, public AdBlue® dispensing points, and any site where the storage unit needs to be located away from the dispensing point.
Ideal for: service station forecourts, roadside AdBlue® dispensing points, and any installation where the pump and storage are separated from the point of dispensing.

Every unit in the BMDS range ships with a comprehensive set of standard inclusions:
- The tank and bund: self-bunded double poly wall construction with 110% bund capacity, mechanical overfill protection, earth rod, stainless steel drybreak fill fitting (50mm, 2-inch), and digital tank volume measurement.
- The control and safety equipment: power control panel with emergency stop, auto timeout (10 minutes), high and low level audible alarms, bund alarm, lockable cabinet.
- The dispensing equipment: Piusi or Calpeda pump (depending on series), hose with auto-shutoff nozzle and holster, digital flow meter (Depot and Terminal series), and digital or pulse meter (series dependent).
- Optional add-ons available across the range include an ATG probe tube, tank lifting lugs, and an 8-metre retractable hose reel (standard on Terminal, optional on Depot).

Preparing Your Site
Truck and trailer clearance required is 19 metres long, 5 metres high, and 3.5 metres wide. Check for low branches or powerlines on your access route and ensure your gate and entrance can accommodate a 19m truck and trailer. A flat, clear area of at least 5 metres by 5 metres is required for unloading. Our logistics team will contact you approximately seven days before delivery to confirm your address and access requirements.
INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
Installing Your DEF Tank Bunded Station for AdBlue®
Polymaster DEF tank bunded stations for AdBlue® are plug-and-play units – pump, fittings, controls, and cabinet all factory-installed. Installation involves site preparation, positioning, electrical connection, and commissioning. Download the Polymaster AdBlue® Bunded Station Installation Guide for full specifications.
Step 1 - Site Preparation and Positioning
Select a firm, level surface capable of bearing the loaded weight of the unit. Position to allow access for the AdBlue® delivery vehicle to reach the stainless steel drybreak fill fitting. Ensure adequate clearance around the cabinet for maintenance access.
Step 2 - Electrical Connection
The pump and control panel require a licensed electrician to complete the electrical connection. The Depot 12V option connects to a 12V vehicle battery; the 240V Depot, Terminal, and Submersible configurations require a mains electrical connection. All wiring must be completed by a licensed electrician.
Step 3 - Pump Commissioning and Testing
Commission the pump per the Piusi or Calpeda commissioning instructions supplied with the unit. Test flow rate, auto-shutoff nozzle, and overfill protection. Test the high/low level alarms and bund alarm for correct operation.
Step 4 - Fuel Management Setup (Terminal Series Only)
Program the management key and distribute user keys to authorised operators. Test each key for access authorisation. Review the digital display and confirm transaction logging is active before commissioning.
Step 5 - AdBlue® Delivery and First Fill
Arrange AdBlue® delivery via an approved AdBlue® supplier using the drybreak fill fitting. Do not allow any non-AdBlue® material, water, or incompatible liquids to enter the tank. Confirm the digital tank volume reading after the first fill.
Polymaster DEF tank bunded stations for AdBlue® must be installed in accordance with the Polymaster AdBlue® Bunded Station Installation Guide. All electrical connections must be completed by a licensed electrician. AdBlue® is sensitive to contamination – only fill from an approved AdBlue® supply source using the drybreak fitting provided.

What is a self-bunded DEF tank for AdBlue®?
A self-bunded Def tank for AdBlue® is a double-walled storage unit – an inner tank holds the AdBlue®, and the outer wall forms a bund providing 110% secondary containment in the event of a leak or spill. Polymaster’s BMDS range combines this self-bunded construction with a factory-installed pump, controls, alarms, and dispensing equipment in a single plug-and-play unit.
Why does AdBlue® need special storage?
AdBlue® is a urea solution that degrades when exposed to heat (above approximately 25°C), UV, moisture, or contact with incompatible materials such as copper, zinc, or carbon steel. Contaminated AdBlue® will not perform correctly in an SCR system and can damage the catalyst. Purpose-built poly storage with stainless steel fittings and a sealed, lockable cabinet protects the AdBlue® from these degradation risks.
What is the difference between the Depot and Terminal series?
Both series use the same self-bunded tank construction and Piusi AdBlue® pump. The Depot series is a straightforward dispensing setup – pump, 5m hose, digital flow meter, alarms, and lockable cabinet. The Terminal series adds a 120-user fuel management system with individual user keys, an 8-metre retractable hose reel, and a pulse meter for managed dispensing accountability. Choose Depot for simpler fleet operations; choose Terminal where you need to track AdBlue® consumption by operator or vehicle.
How often should AdBlue® bulk storage be maintained?
Polymaster recommends inspecting the unit every 6 months. Check the pump filters, hose, and nozzle for wear or contamination. Test the alarms and overfill protection. Inspect the bund for accumulated liquid and drain as required. Clean the fill point and drybreak fitting. Flush the system if the AdBlue® has been stored for an extended period. What is the Submersible series used for?
The Submersible series replaces the external Piusi pump with a Calpeda submersible pump mounted inside the tank, with the discharge terminating at a cabinet outlet. This configuration is designed for remote bowser connections – the storage unit sits in one location and the dispensing bowser is positioned separately, connected via pipework. It is particularly suited to service station forecourts and public AdBlue® dispensing points.
Can I add a fuel management system to a Depot unit?
The 120-user fuel management system is a standard inclusion on the Terminal series and cannot be added to a Depot unit as a factory option. If you need fuel management, specify the Terminal series. Contact Polymaster to discuss your requirements if you need a configuration not covered by the standard range.
