Molasses Licker Drum
100 litres of molasses and urea, metered by a floating roller that lifts a thin film with each lick. No metal bearings to seize, and the roller lifts out for cleaning when the molasses hardens.

This full poly design with a floating drum means there are no parts to get damaged by stock or rust over time in the elements. Simply place the feeder into the paddock with stock and allow them to access supplements on demand.

Why a Divisional Feeder
Every calf gets its ration
Internal divisions hold a set amount behind each teat. Dominant calves can’t guzzle their way through the lot, and the quiet ones at the end of the rail still get fed.
Slow suckling cuts scours
Drawing milk through a teat takes longer than drinking from a trough. That lifts saliva and helps the milk reach the right stomach, which is what brings the scours risk down.
Even growth across the mob
When every calf gets the same feed, the mob comes through the rearing weeks at a similar weight instead of splitting into strong and weak.
Fast to fill and clean
Teat caps unscrew so the feeder rinses out properly rather than getting a hose through the top. Galvanised brackets adjust to hang it at the right height on your rail.

How do divisional feeders stop stronger calves stealing the milk?
Each teat has its own compartment behind it holding a set ration. A calf can only draw what’s in its own division, so the dominant ones can’t work along the rail taking everyone else’s. It also stops cross-suckling.
Which size calf feeder do I need?
The 2L bottle and the 5L single teat feeder suit one or two poddy calves. The 30L five-teat and 40L eight-teat divisional feeders suit pen rearing, and the eight-teat is the one most commercial operations run.
What teats do the calf feeders use?
Peach teats (PCT) across the whole calf range, with screw caps that unscrew for cleaning. Lamb feeders use a different teat, so check you’re ordering the right one.
Can I buy teats and caps separately?
Yes. Teats and caps are consumables and are sold individually, so you can replace them without replacing the feeder.
How does a molasses licker drum stop cattle over-eating urea?
A floating roller sits in the mix and lifts only a thin film with each lick. Cattle get a small, controlled amount rather than a dose that could hurt them. One drum runs a mob for days.
Does the licker drum roller seize up?
No. The roller is all poly with no metal bearings, so there’s nothing to corrode or seize in a molasses and urea mix. It also lifts out completely, which matters when molasses hardens and needs cleaning off.
What specific gravity are the molasses tanks rated to?
1.5SG. Molasses is considerably heavier than water, so the tanks are built with heavy-duty wall thickness to suit. They come standard with an 80mm threaded outlet, an inspection cover and an overflow that doubles as a breather with a screen.
