All lamb feeders use lamb teats, which are a different shape to the peach teats on the calf range. Teat caps unscrew for washing out, and the multi-teat feeders come with galvanised hanging brackets. The footbaths control hoof disease in sheep and goats, with the standing type suited to a portable yard and the race type designed to drop into a sheep race.

Internal divisions hold a set amount behind each teat. The strong lambs can’t work along the rail taking everyone else’s, and the weak ones still get fed.
Slow suckling cuts scours
Drawing milk through a teat takes longer than drinking from a trough. That lifts saliva and helps the milk reach the right stomach, which brings the scours risk down.

A Closer Look at Polymaster Lambing Products
Choosing a sheep footbath: standing or race type
Both baths treat hoof disease in sheep and goats, both have a non slip dimpled floor, and both link end to end for a longer run. They suit different setups.
Race type (RFRB)
2400 x 480mm and holds up to 80 litres. Sized to drop into a sheep race so stock walk through as they’re worked. A pyramid rib runs down the centre of the trough, which keeps hooves either side and cuts the volume of solution needed, and it adds strength to the trough floor.
Standing type (FRB)
2530 x 1000mm and holds up to 300 litres. The wider bath suits use with a portable yard where you’re holding animals in the solution for a period. More solution, more animals standing at once.

Lamb feeders and sheep footbath questions
What size Supa Trough do I need?
It comes down to mob size and fence line length. The 250L (SPT5) is 1500mm long and suits smaller mobs, holding yards and hobby blocks. The 450L (SPT9) at 2700mm is the general purpose choice for most paddock watering. The 600L (SPT12) at 3700mm is for watering large numbers, where you want the mob drinking at once rather than queueing. All three are 600mm wide and 375mm high.
Can one trough water two paddocks?
Yes, and it’s the main reason to choose this shape. The trough sits across the fence line rather than running beside it, so half the length is in one paddock and half is in the next. Stock on either side drink from their own end of the same trough. You get one trough, one water connection and two paddocks watered, which saves on plumbing as well as on troughs. The fence runs over the middle of the trough, so it’s worth planning the position before you set the water line.
What’s the difference between a Supa Trough and a Sweep Trough?
Different jobs. A Supa Trough is moulded in one piece with an integrated float cover and a 75mm drain cap at each end, built for watering large numbers along a fence line. A Sweep Trough has a curved sweep-out end and a ballast base, built for dusty country where you’re cleaning sludge out regularly without draining the trough.
How do I clean a Supa Trough?
There’s a 75mm drain cap at each end, so you can empty it from whichever end suits without tipping or lifting. If you’re in dusty country and cleaning often, the sweep trough range is designed specifically for that job.
What water pressure can a Supa Trough handle?
All three sizes are rated to 140psi, or 965 kPa. That covers mains pressure and most pumped systems without needing a pressure reducer.
Is the float valve protected?
Yes. The float cover is moulded into the trough as part of the one-piece design rather than bolted on, so there’s nothing for stock to work loose. The cover sits raised, which lets the trough fill right to the brim instead of the float cutting off early. Contact Polymaster when ordering to specify optional extras. Alternatively, the bunded cube (DMPQB400E) includes built-in secondary containment as standard.
Can I move a Supa Trough between paddocks?
Yes. Poly troughs are light enough to reposition when your paddock layout changes or you need water somewhere else for a season. A concrete trough of the same length is a machinery job.
Will a poly trough rust or corrode?
No. There are no metal parts in the trough itself, so nothing rusts, seizes or stains the water. The polyethylene is UV resistant for long-term outdoor use and food grade, certified to AS/NZS 4020, the Australian standard for products in contact with drinking water.
