CLIENT BACKGROUND
Santos is an Australian energy pioneer. They have safely and sustainably discovered, developed and delivered natural gas to the people of Australia and Asia for more than 60 years. With revenues of $3.5 billion and staff of over 2000 excluding contractors. Santos is a predominant and growing strength in gas exploration.
PROJECT REQUIREMENT
Santos required a solution that was able to hold 100kl of groundwater from their gas extraction processes at Injune, near Roma QLD.
Polymaster worked with Santos contract engineers to develop a custom-made solution to provide a robust and reliable storage option that provided the maximum integrity and longevity, whilst also meeting their strict performance and specification criteria.
SOLUTION PROVIDED
Polymaster was pleased to supply Santos two of our 50,000L Round Process Tanks for a number of their unique design aspects. Heavy-duty industrial tanks were required due to the need to minimise breakdowns in the demanding nature of a gas drilling mine site. A self-supporting roof was a must-have, as the groundwater being contained in the water tanks holds high levels of dissolved gases, which, if released to atmosphere, could cause a pole-supported roof to collapse.
