CLIENT BACKGROUND
Australia’s largest equipment hire company with over 130 years of experience in the industry, supplying to a wide variety of markets including Engineering and Building Construction & Maintenance, Mining & Resources, Manufacturing, Government, and Events. Their large fleet of hire equipment in Australia has over 1 million pieces of equipment covering general hire and special project requirements.
CLIENT REQUIREMENT
The engineering services division of the hire company has many mobile waste water treatment plants for hire that are designed to help contractors treat contaminated ground water onsite. The flexibility of being able to deploy these mobile systems to site quickly and remove them when they are no longer required has massive advantages over traditional/permanent installation of treatment plants. Part of these systems is the requirement to have conical sludge clarifiers and chemical dosing. This hire company partnered with Polymaster to design and engineer suitable pieces of equipment for both of these requirements.
SOLUTION PROVIDED
All equipment deployed to the site needs to be suitable for the highly demanding and harsh environment on construction sites. Polymaster was able to meet these standards with custom modified Silomaster® Sludge Clarifiers and ChemMaster® Self Bunded Chemical Tanks. The modifications required heavy-duty framework for protection during use and transportation, and special design elements for safe operation onsite. Some of the special engineering features included a frame that allowed the tall Sludge Clarifiers to be laid horizontal for transport, single point lift on all equipment, provision to lift with forklifts, custom orange colouring on products and custom pipework and valving.
