Septic Tanks
Certified septic tanks in two sizes to suit households of all sizes: 3,100L (1 to 5 people) and 4,550L (6 to 10 people). Self-anchoring with no concrete required, fittings and baffle pre-installed, and a 10-minute hook-up. Certified to AS/NZS 1546.1:2008 for NSW, VIC, SA, QLD and NT.

Do I need council approval to install a septic tank?

Can I install a Polymaster septic tank myself?
Polymaster septic tanks are designed for a fast hook-up and do not require entry into the tank to install. However, connection to an on-site wastewater system is generally regulated and may need to be carried out or certified by a licensed plumber.
How often does a septic tank need pumping out?
Pump-out frequency depends on tank size and household load. As a general guide, domestic septic tanks are desludged every 3 to 5 years.
Should I choose a plastic or concrete septic tank?
Polyethylene tanks are lighter, one-piece, corrosion-proof and self-anchoring, requiring minimal excavation and no concrete.
What is the difference between a pump well and a pump station?
A pump well is a chambered vessel with a flat base for a pump to sit on. A pump station comes fully pre-assembled and pre-plumbed with the pump, valves and a high-level alarm.
What is the difference between a grey water and black water pump station?
Grey water (stormwater) stations use a sump pump for wastewater without sewage. Black water (sewer) stations use a grinder pump rated for sewage.
