Certified Diesel-Grade Polyethylene
Constructed from European diesel-grade polyethylene that prevents leaching. Standard polyethylene allows diesel to seep through the walls over time. Polymaster’s material does not.

A diesel transfer tank is an intermediate storage and dispensing unit that bridges the gap between your bulk diesel storage and the machinery in the field. You fill the transfer tank from your bulk storage unit at the shed, load it onto a ute or use a trailer unit, drive to the machine that needs fuel, and dispense directly. This replaces drum-and-funnel transfers with a purpose-built, pump-equipped unit that is faster, safer, and better suited to the volumes that modern heavy plant requires.
What is the difference between a transfer tank and a bulk storage tank?
A bulk storage tank (like Polymaster’s single-walled DSW range or self-bunded DMDS range) is a fixed, above-ground storage vessel – it stays on site and is filled by a fuel delivery truck. A transfer tank is mobile. It holds a smaller volume, is designed to be transported to the point of use, and dispenses via a pump rather than gravity. They work together: bulk storage at the shed, transfer tank to the paddock.
What pump voltage options are available for the DMP transfer tanks?
The DMP skid-mounted range is available in 12V, 24V, and 240V pump configurations. The 12V and 24V options suit vehicle-mounted applications where the pump draws power from the tow vehicle’s electrical system. The 240V option suits fixed or semi-fixed installations where mains power is available. The DMPFT trailer units come with a 12V Piusi Fast Flow pump as standard.
Do I need a separate bund for a transfer tank?
Transfer tanks are mobile units designed to carry diesel temporarily, not for long-term above-ground storage. The AS1940 bunding requirements for fixed above-ground storage apply to your bulk storage tank, not to a transfer unit in transit or in use. If you are using a transfer tank in a semi-permanent or stationary role, seek advice from your installer or local council on the applicable compliance requirements.
