The 50-degree cone separates solids from liquid and drains clean, so you’re not chasing residue out of a flat base. Capacities run 600L to 30,000L in two series, with liquid or dry outlet configurations.
Both series sit on a galvanised steel frame with integrated forklift channels, and custom pipework is available.
50-Degree Cone Design for Complete Drainage and Sludge Control
The steep 50-degree cone on every Polymaster cone bottom tank enables complete drainage without residual material pooling at the base. This makes the range well suited to sludge clarification and thickening operations, as well as the storage and dispensing of liquids and dry bulk materials where full product recovery matters.

Sludge Control Cone Bottom Specifications
Polymaster’s cone bottom tank range is available in two series. The MB series covers smaller conical vessels rated to SG 2. The Silomaster SM series covers larger silo-style tanks available in SG 1 standard and SG 1.5 heavy-duty configurations.

What is the difference between the MB series and the Silomaster SM series?
The MB series (MB60, MB100, MB150, MB200) are smaller conical vessels from 600L to 2,000L, designed for compact processing setups and chemical storage applications. They are rated to SG 2 and mounted on a DuraGal frame with no lifting lugs. The Silomaster SM series (SM5000 through SM30000) is larger silo-style cone bottom tanks from 5,000L to 30,000L, suited to high-volume industrial, agricultural, and liquid processing. SM series tanks are available in SG 1 standard and SG 1.5 heavy-duty configurations and include 4 lifting lugs on larger sizes.
What does SG rating mean and which rating do I need?
SG stands for Specific Gravity, which is the density of the liquid relative to water (water = 1.0). The SG rating tells you the maximum density of liquid the tank is designed to hold safely. MB series tanks are rated to SG 2, suitable for denser chemicals and liquids. SM series standard tanks are rated to SG 1 (suitable for water-density liquids). SM series SG 1.5 heavy-duty variants are rated to SG 1.5, suitable for heavier process liquids. If you are storing a chemical or liquid and are unsure of its SG, contact our team for guidance.
What is a liquid outlet versus a dry outlet?
A liquid outlet is configured for dispensing liquids via a BSP fitting at the base of the cone. A dry outlet is configured for dispensing dry bulk materials through a slide gate or powder outlet at the base. The outlet type is specified at the time of order. Custom pipework configurations are also available on request.
